In July 2019, a new additional packaging complex of bagged cement was launched at YUGcement Branch, PJSC Dyckerhoff Cement Ukraine. Now, due to an increase in the production capacities of the Dyckerhoff packing containers, the Ukrainian market will be replenished with additional volumes of high-quality, proven and reliable product for construction. The new Dyckerhoff packaging line will increase the production of high-quality cements by 350 thousand tons per year. The additional packaging complex is equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment with advanced production technologies.

Thus, to optimize the production process, ensure the approach sustainability and customer convenience, the following modifications were introduced:

• Fully automated pallet packaging system with minimal impact of human factors on the production process;
• Stretch hood pallet packaging technology that provides reliability and long-term storage life of packing containers under any environmental conditions;
• In-house storage premises;
• Fast shipment of packing containers to the vehicles;
• Possibility of delivering pallets by rail cars with special protective pads to preserve the package integrity during transportation;
• White three-layer corrugated bag material to protect against damage during transportion and counterfeit;
• Pallet packing size: 1.4 tons of cement.

In the light of concerns about the environment and labour conditions, there have been installed special facilities to protect the environment against the production process exposure, including heavy-duty electrostatic precipitators to ensure the environmental performance of the production process and occupational safety.

The introduction of new packaging line will make it possible to increase the production of packing containers twice. This implies that due to an increase in the production capacities of bagged cement at YUGcement, a branch of PJSC Dyckerhoff Cement Ukraine, the Ukrainian market will be replenished with additional volumes of high-quality and reliable cement, and the construction activities using high-quality and tested materials will grow.
