On 28-29 May 2019, the VIII International Conference UkrCemFor 2019. Cement Industry. Best Practices. Prospects for Development was held in Kyiv. The conference is the largest industry event in Ukraine, which takes place only once every 2 years and unifies about 300 representatives of companies and organizations from more than 15 countries around the world. This is the eighth time UkrCemFor 2019 has already become the platform where the key players of the cement industry in Ukraine and Europe met. During the conference there was discussion about concrete, concrete products and equipment, concrete architecture and urban space, where Yevhenii Zakharchenko, a quality manager, made a presentation on the topic ‘Issues Relating to Implementation of World Construction Trends in Ukraine. Modern Challenges for Concrete Producers’. The presentation was primarily focused on the state of implementation of European requirements for concrete in Ukraine and the practice of their application in the design, production and evaluation of the long time performance of concrete for the foundation structures of the wind power plants in southern Ukraine.
