Nowadays the Dyckerhoff cement based concrete has already been used in the construction of a number of transport facilities, including the capital construction of the runway at Odesa International Airport by Avtomahistral-Pivden. The length of the new runway is 2.8 km. The Dyckerhoff cement, grade ПЦ-I-500 Р-Н, is used for the most critical part, namely finishing coat, i.e. surface course of the runway made of 40 cm thick high-density concrete. The Dyckerhoff cement was chosen for application on this project thanks to high quality indicators and excellent compatibility with the necessary chemical admixtures for concrete, providing an opportunity to optimize the composition of concrete mixes to achieve the required process and operational properties of concrete for the runway.
