Odessa

In July 2006 Dyckerhoff Ukraine commissioned ready-mix concrete production in Odessa.

The new concrete plant made in Germany provides for a automatically controlled process of ready-mix concrete production according to the recipe and provides for precise addition of components. The productivity of 100 cubic meters of concrete per hour enables the plant to supply concrete for big building sites that need a high volumes of ready-mix concrete of stable quality within a short period of time. The Odessa affiliate of Dyckerhoff Ukraine produces ready-mix concrete of a wide range of grades from B 7,5 to B 35.

The Concrete plant in Odessa has some specific characteristics that characterize its concrete to be a kind of unique product. It is widely known that water in Odessa contains a lot of salt from Black Sea. Its usage in concrete production without purification negatively effects the strength of concrete and can destroy the steel reinforcement. To solve this problem a desalinator which cleans the water used for concrete production in a way that it becomes drinking water. No other ready-mix concrete producers in Odessa does this but the Odessa affiliate of Dyckerhoff Ukraine.

The ready-mix concrete of the Odessa affiliate is a quality product due to many factors. First of all cement only of one producer - Yugcement is used which is a company of Dyckerhoff Group in Ukraine. The absence of wide range of cement suppliers in this case allows to have a stable quality of recipes. The presence of the cement terminal of Yugcement in Odessa allows to avoid logistic problems and provides that the plant always has enough cement of all grades.

There is a certified laboratory on the plant territory that controls quality of each lot of cement and ready-mix concrete to guarantee its quality. Also it regular works on experimental tests to improve recipes and quality.

In accordance with the ecological standards a recycling plant is installed on the plant due to which waste from concrete production such as water used for cleaning trucks as well as the plant and inert materials can repeatedly be used for production. Due to this our concrete production becomes almost free of waste and environmentally friendly.

To deliver ready-mix concrete to the building sites in Odessa the affiliate of Dyckerhoff Ukraine uses own modern mixer trucks with the capacity of 10m³ and smaller mixer trucks with the capacity of 7m³.
