In summer 2003 the first concrete plant of Dyckerhoff Ukraine was commissioned. The idea was to produce high quality ready-mix concrete with a wide range of grades by strength and flowability along with high frost-resistance as it was unknown up to that time in Ukraine. High quality of concrete and additional service such as delivery of the ready-mix concrete to building sites by our own truck mounted concrete pump became a good foundation for the further development of concrete production. As a result as early as 2004 one more Plant in Kyiv started operation.
Furthermore Dyckerhoff in Ukraine developed concrete business in the regions. In summer 2005 a concrete plant with an output of 100 cubic meters per hour started operation in Sevastopol (Crimea). Located in a village named Shturmove, the Sevastopol affiliate of Dyckerhoff Ukraine supplies ready-mix concrete for modern building sites both in Sevastopol and along the South Coast of Crimea.
In 2006 our concrete plant in Odessa was commissioned. Odessa is a territory of special interest for Dyckerhoff Group in Ukraine because one of the cement plants of the Group - Yugcement - is located very close to Odessa and has its own affiliate as well as a cement terminal in Odessa.
According to the plans of Dyckerhoff Ukraine there will be further development of our concrete business in Ukraine both in the new markets as well as by increasing volumes in the regions where we already are.
To increase volumes of production and to develop new regional markets Dyckerhoff Ukraine is improving ready-mix concrete recipes, achieving higher strength as well as flowability and other parameters. Those activities are performed in our central laboratory of Dyckerhoff Ukraine in Kyiv along with the regional laboratories by a team of highly professional technologists with the support of specialists of Dyckerhoff AG in Wiesbaden.
