Volyn-cement

Volyn-Cement PJSC (former Zdolbunovskiy cement-slate combinate) is situated near Zdolbunov city, Rovno district. Volyn-Cement’s designed production capacity exceeds 2 million tons of cement per annum, for today it is one of the most important enterprises of Ukraine in cement industry.

Volyn-Cement products were used and continue to be used for construction of the most important and responsible objects of the country, for example the reconstruction of the destroyed city centre of Kiev after the war and its reconstruction after Ukraine’s independence.

The same applies to construction of buildings with special requirements concerning durability so as the Rovno and Khmelnitskiy nuclear power plants, bridges, airports, and other objects. Except for usual grades of cement which are widely applied in industrial and housing construction, the enterprise produces special oil-well cements for the needs of petroleum and gas industry.

Quarry:

Chalk quarry:

Clay quarry:

  • The area - 22,95 hа;
  • Explored resources - 15 mln.tons.

Quarry techniques and equipment:

  • 5 excavators of 5 m3, 300 t/h;
  • 6 excavators of 2,5 m3, 150 t/h;
  • 6 wash mills - diameter 12 m, 100 t/h;
  • 1 slurry basin - diameter 35 m, 6000 m3.

Slurry delivery to the plant:

  • slurry pipeline 3,5 km, diameter 300 mm.

Raw shop:

Wash mills:

  • 4 in diameter 8 m, 100 t/h;
  • 2 in diameter 12 m, 150 t/h.

Raw mills:

  • 3 mills - in diameter 2,0х10,5 m, 100 t/h;
  • 1 mill - in diameter 3,2х8,5 m, 250 t/h.

Vertical basins of slurry adjustment:

  • 4 basins of rough slurry - diameter 6,5х 17 m, 400 m3;
  • 10 basins of slurry adjustment - diameter 6,5х17m, 400 m3.

Slurry basins of finished slurry:

  • 2 basins of slurry supply to small kilns - diameter 25 m, 2500 m3;
  • 2 basins of slurry supply to big kilns - diameter 35 m, 6000 m3.

Clinker burning:

The big kilns:

  • 3 big wet process kilns - diameter 5х4,5х170 m;
    Fuel - gas; designed production capacity - 50 t/h; grate coolers of Russian manufacture.

The small kilns:

  • 4 small wet process kilns - diameter 3,6х118 m;
    Fuel - gas; designed production capacity - 22 t/h; planetary coolers of Russian manufacture.

Cement grinding:

  • 1 ball mill with a separator - diameter 2,4х10,6 m, 20 t/h;
  • 6 ball mills of open cycle - diameter 3,2х15 m, 50 t/h;
  • One slag dryer.

  • 8 silos in diameter 10х22m;
  • 4 silos in diameter 10х25 m;
  • 4 silos in diameter 15х27m.
